About Us

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about Bethel Worship Center and our community. We hope that after you look through our website and attend a service, you will consider becoming a more active part of our growing community of faith.

Lead by Senior Pastors Joseph & Chaun Butler, Bethel Worship Center (BWC) offers many ministries for people of all ages and walks of life who are looking to strengthen their relationship with Christ.

A Community of Faith

Our church is not just about a weekly service on a Saturday evening or an occasional Bible study. We are a community of faith sharing our lives together throughout the week as well. Our community may offer weekend services,  service projects and mission trips, but these are just the outward signs of life of this "Body of Christ."

Our common faith in our Lord Jesus paints the way we "do life together" and is the undercurrent of all our social interactions. We share our joys, successes and good times. We also share our hurts, disappointments and failures. Our Christian walk of faith encourages us to trust in God whatever the circumstance. As the Apostle Paul wrote, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)

Take the Journey With Us

Ultimately, Christians are merely followers of Jesus. We aspire to His teachings, we are taught by the Bible, and are daily surrendering our lives to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This is what is meant by the proclamation, "Jesus is Lord," that has become a cliché in today's lexicon. In the simplest terms, it means we allow God, in the person of Jesus, to take the driver's seat and we go along for the ride!

Popular culture is in direct conflict with this approach to life, so we find that we need a support group of fellow believers to help us on this journey. That is what our church community is all about. We have people in many different stages of that journey. Whether you're a seeker and not sure what you believe yet, a new believer struggling with your new identity in Christ or a veteran Christian, you'll find others here that you can connect with right where you are.

We look forward to taking the journey with you!

What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the mind of Christ; the only inspired, infallible and authorative Word of God.

We believe in one God manifested in three personalities as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the reality of Satan and his present control over unregenerate man.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

We believe in the fall of man and his lost estate, which makes necessary a rebirth through confession and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the reconciliation of man to God by the substitutionary death and shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of believers unto everlasting life and blessing in Heaven and the resurrection of unbelievers unto punishment in the torments of hell.

We believe in the present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life and by whose power are operated the nine spiritual gifts (i.e., the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, the gift of healing, the working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues and the interpretation of tongues) in and among believers on earth since the day of Pentecost and continuing until our Lord's return.

We believe that the church is the indivisible Body of Christ bound together by the Holy Spirit, consisting only of those who are born again in Christ and for whom He shall come again.

We believe in Christ's great commission to the church to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, baptizing them in the name of Jesus and teaching those who believe.
